Operating Steps
  • STEP 1
Preheat your airfryer to 360°F (180°C) while you prepare the ingredients. This ensures the airfryer is hot and ready when you need it.
  • STEP 2
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin to make them easier to shape. Brush both sides of the bread slices with melted butter. Press each buttered slice into the cups of a muffin tin to form cup shapes.
  • STEP 3
Place the muffin tin with the bread cups into the preheated airfryer. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the bread cups are golden brown and crispy. Let them cool slightly in the muffin tin.
  • STEP 4
While the bread cups are baking, slice the cooked bratwurst sausages into small, bite-sized pieces. In a mixing bowl, combine the bratwurst, drained sauerkraut, shredded cheese, and German mustard. Mix well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed. Season with salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
  • STEP 5
Remove the cooled bread cups from the muffin tin. Fill each bread cup with the bratwurst and sauerkraut mixture. Place the filled cups back into the muffin tin or directly into the airfryer basket. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • STEP 6
Carefully remove the baked cups from the airfryer. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired. Serve the bratwurst and sauerkraut bread cups warm as an appetizer or a main dish. Enjoy!
