STEP 1
Boil potatoes until soft (about 15-20 minutes), then mash them. Add 2 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup milk, salt, and pepper, and mix until smooth. Set aside.

Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (360°F). Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, cook the sausages until golden on all sides (8-10 minutes), then set aside.

In the same pan, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add onions and leeks, cooking for 5 minutes until softened. Add apples and brown sugar, cooking for another 5-7 minutes until caramelized. Optionally, stir in 1/2 tsp cinnamon.

Slice the sausages and stir them into the apple mixture. Transfer the filling to an air fryer-safe dish. Top with mashed potatoes and smooth them out with a spatula.
STEP 5
(Optional) Sprinkle cheese, breadcrumbs, and drizzle melted butter over the mashed potatoes for a crispy topping. Bake in the air fryer at 180°C (360°F) for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden and crispy.
